HAPPY BIRTHDAY MISSI!

Hello friends and family! Yesterday was my birthday!! Jonathan spoiled me all day long it was such a good, wonderful, marvelous, beautiful day!! I love birthdays (it was also my mommies birthday..."happy birthday mom!) !!

Anyway, ever since I have lived here, near Seattle, I have told the love of my life that I want to go to an Aquarium...so, he took me!

Check it out, J on the ferry going into Seattle

My nose stuck in the pic of the fat seal creatures...they aren't normal seals, I forget what they were called. The seals and the otters were the best though!

J hangin with the Jellies

While J played with the Jellies, I took a ride on the back of killer whale. Righteous;)

Here is J with the Octopus, can you see it's eye? We also got to touch massive star fish...very gross, super cool.

This is me seeing how I measure up next to a shark. I think the shark wins.

It was fun, I had a blast. If your ever bored and in Seattle you should check out the fishes! And then you can go and eat some, cause yummy resturants are everywhere!

Hello

I have been off for awhile since my In-Laws came out to visit us this past week/weekend. I don't want to type much because I don't have the pictures to go along with it. So in order to give my readers something interesting to read, I will write you all a poem about my lipstick and day.

I'm wearing red lipstick
To match my red shirt
I styled my hair
And I swept up some dirt

I threw clothes in the laundry
To get them all clean
And finished my work
So my boss won't get mean

I've eaten my veggies
And ice-cream real fast
I've watered my lawn
To gain me green grass

My day is not over,
there's more things to do
But the stuff I must finish
Will stay hidden from you :-)

All about me and the baby

Today I am 18 weeks along.

And while I am feeling very strong and healthy...

I can't help but worry about things and get that feeling of...oh, I don't know, being anxious I guess. I mean, they say my baby is about 5 and 1/2 inches long right now or "the size of a small sweet potato"

Hello? Mr. Potato baby? How come I haven't felt you yet? Are you just a comfy little calm potato? Are you gonna take after you daddy? Or will you be a HOT Potato like me!? Hee, hee.

I know I am getting ahead of myself. Most moms don't feel their babies move until "18-20 weeks" so I'm sure it will be any day now. :-) But, but!! I'm so impatient!!

I also want to get super cute maternity clothes now! That is a must for me, I think. I want to find a cute little dress to show of my new belly bump, and maybe some cute flats...and make-up...I LOVE make-up...and earrings. Ahem.

They also say, at 18 weeks, that my babies hearing is being developed. This being the case, I have created a "baby mix" on iTunes, for baby "B" to listen to while I work. I think "B" likes the songs, at least it keeps me happy:-)

On a workout note, J and I went speed walking last night. Have you tried to walk fast while pregnant before? It is very hard, but actually made me feel really good. We should do more of that. Though I don't know if J considered it speed walking, he has stinkin' long legs compared to mine. It was more like...normal walking I think for him.

Oh well. I guess that is all I have to say. I hope to buy baby stuff this weekend, as my MIL (Mother-In-Law) will be in town. I have heard what a wonderful shopper she is and I can't wait to go shopping with her! I love shopping!

I also love donuts. I have not had a donut since my last post on donuts and I miss my donuts. They need me and I. Need. THEM!!!

Did I have a good trip?

YES!!! Who is the happiest girl cause she spent a week (er...a few days) with her family and friends???? MISSI!!!

Ok, so I have like a million and one pics, and it takes five years to post pics on blogger...so I'll try to narrow down my selection to only a choice few:-)

Here is Nic and I showing off our bellies and giving sexy lip looks to multiple cameras.

Girlfriends!

Check out the diaper cake my Mom made Nic and I for our baby shower! lol! So cute!

This is Dan and me at Ravens Rock

Nic with my favorite gooses

We wadded through NASTY water, mud and other grossness to get to this rock on the potomac...it was so much fun!

Poor Isaac was trying to float, but he kept sinking his ring! lol!

J and I at Nics house:-)

There are many more pictures...I'll post more later:-)

SeaFair

Ths weekend J took me to the "SeaFair" in Seattle. We got to see all kinds of super cool planes and super fast boats. I am not sure if the boats are called "hydro-plane" boats or not, but that's what the races with them were called. :-) Very fast, very cool!

Here they are all lined up at the starting line. You can barely make them out in this pic. But they are there.

Look down by the trees, to the left, and you'll see the planes in this pic.

This was a super cool plane guy who did wacked dives and flips and was pretty much the "clown" of the show that made everyone smile.

And here is prego me, modeling off our new car...though I'm afraid the nose got cut off a bit in the pic. Hmmm. At any rate, we needed a "family" car as we now are gonna have us a family, so this works. :-D

And, of course, a picture of my handsome husband.

I got lots of other pictures of planes flying by, such as the blue angels, etc...But I'm afraid my photography skills are about as weak as my grammar. So...I do not think I will post them.

SeaFair was fun though, beautiful day, great show, yummy food:-)

Food

Money may make the world go round (or is that love, I forget, anyway) but food keeps the world alive. And food...food I LOVE! :)

http://janlynn.com/detail.cfm?ID=6831 This cross-stiching pattern is one I plan on doing in the near future...but it really says what I feel like doing today:) hahahahaha!

I am glad the weekend is almost here! I can't wait til tomorrow, I just love Saturdays!

I think I shall paint my nails red today. I never wear nail polish and I wouldn't be caught dead wearing red on my nails...but, today I feel like I need red nails. :) And red lipstick...yes, yes...lots of red lipstick.

I think I am going insane. I am very tired. Goodbye.

Hair

I think I shall chop off my hair. I want to look like this...

But I never shall. Why? Cause I would look like a freak:-( Waaa! Here...this is what I would look like with super short hair...ahahaha! I look like a strange sort of tinkerbell or something! LOL!

Cherry Pie

Yesterday was a good day! Nice and cool (er), perfect for doing things outside and inside. It's days like yesterday that make me want to be...ALL THAT I CAN BE!!!

That being said, my task for the day, my hope and dream for one hour...was to make
CHERRY PIE!!!!!!!!

Man! I never knew how much goes into a cherry pie. I always thought you just buy the can of cherries and buy the pre-made pie crust...and viola! You have a cherry pie. No, no, ladies and gentleman, cherry pie is a very indepth, deep, complex pie to create. A little bit of this and a little bit of that, lots of stirring and sweating and yummy sugar and...then after all your toil and labor you have a cherry pie.

Yummmm! There's not much left, so if you want a bite ya gotta come fast!!

Baby, Oh Baby!!

I had my first ultra-sound today! Woohoo! I just love my babies first picture:-) He/she's got a HUGE head! ahahahahaha! Must take after its daddy or something...cause everyone knows I don't have a big head.
The baby was so cute, she/he had the hiccups and its tummy kept bouncing up and down. I know you can't tell from the picture, but my baby does have two arms, two legs, hands, fingers, feet, toes!! He/She is so precious!

Due Date: Jan 23, 2006

The drama of a donut

So last night, my loving husband and I have dinner together. And life is simple and sweet.

But then. In the stillness of the living room. *dun, dun, duuuuuuunnn* My belly starts to rumble, my heart begins to pound and....

"JONATHAN!!! I need a DONUT!!!! I NEED a DONUT NOWWWWW!!!"

Like the speedy husband he is I get wisked away to our local grocery store to find what I need and what I crave.

~Now, for those of you who aren't pregnant and for those of you who don't have your stomachs fighting all the organs in your body for space, plus a baby pushing you into uncomfortable positions, eating more then a small amount can cause great anguish and agony. Cause even though you think you want another helping of dinner, or some terribly fattening dessert. After you eat it, it is a for sure thing you will feel sick right after. ~

Back to the story. So, my husband gets me to the store in record time. We stroll to the donut counter and I, of course, pick the BIGGEST donut I can find. Muwahahahahaa! Bliss, bliss, my life is bliss. I start to gobble the gooey delight before we even make it to our parked car. Talking, and laughing and eating all the way home I think my life couldn't be any better.
But then...I get out of the car. The sudden movement causes me to feel slightly icky and unstable.

"Johnny!!"

He has to help me to the door lest I faint in utter fear of what may occur next. But alas, nothing to dramatic. I make it up the stairs and promptly fall onto our couch. There I must remain motionless for about an hour and a half before my tummy returns to normal.

*sigh* it was such a great donut while I was eating it, but *ECK!* why? Why? do I do that to my poor, helpless body??!?!!?!?!?!!?

hee, hee.

So I'm afraid my sad tale ends not in simple, sweet, stillness, but in agony and groanings of the body. Warning to all fellow pregnant mommies out there, if you want it...DON'T HAVE IT!!

Mt. Rainer

This weekend our friends invited J and I to go with them to Mt. Rainer.

We saw cool things while hiking. I liked all the pretty wildflowers on the hiking trails.

This one reminds me of a very thin blue bonnet.

And this one reminds me of a daffodil(sp?) without it's nose:-)

The other cool sight (aside from the Mountain its self) was a random deer in the woods.

he was kinda hard to catch. But once he stood still...I think he liked posing for this picture.

Then, of course, there are the lovely pics of J and I with the Mt. in the background (we didn't quite make it to the top...this time;)

I guess part of the Mt. got cut off on this pic...oh well:-)

Here we are at a...waterfall:)

And here we are at a lake called...hmmm...I can't remember what it was called. But it was near the bottom of the Moutain anyway:-)

This pic is of a "Box Canyon", the glowing Angel on the side is really just my husband;) ahahahaha!

It was a fun trip, I was so tired after it though...I slept the whole way home:-)

My Hollyhock

I have a very sad and pathetic flower garden. It is a sad, truthful fact. And while I know and readily admit this...there is a part of me that hopes that some day, some how, my sad little garden will turn into something wonderful and beautiful some day. The trouble is, gardening requires time, money and...plants.

My biggest trouble has been when I enter a flower store I am completely overwhelmed by all the choices of flowers. I have no idea what to get! There are to many!! I know you are suppose to plan out the layout and design of your garden before you start randomly purchasing items. However, that takes up so much time and energy, I'd rather just go to the store, become overwhelmed and come home with an odd assortment of plants...that I will most likely kill in three days.
All this being said, one of my random purchases during one of these overwhelming trips, was a very small hollyhock plant. When I bought it, I got it cause it reminded me of my sister (her favorite, I think). I wanted a hollyhock, but I didn't want a whole bunch (cause they are mucho money) and I figured...I'd probably kill it like my other plants. Well, surprise, surprise, this little puppy (randomly placed in my garden) seems to love life despite my lack of attention to it. It is now nearly as tall as Jonathan and today...it flowered!!!! I was so excited, I had to take a picture!

My gardening skills my be slim to none...but I grew a hollyhock plant and it looks lovely!!

Weekend Pictures

This weekend J took me to see IKEA. I have heard so much about IKEA, that I figured it was about time I actually went and saw the store. It's HUGE!
After IKEA we went to Trader Joes, another place I hear so much about, but never have gone to. Cute, yummy things to buy. Smaller then I expected:)

On the way home from IKEA and Trader Joes, I tired to take a picture, from my car, of Mt. Rainer:)

Later in the day we went to a park and had a picnic. After the picnic, J and I took a lovely walk in the woods.

And because I feel like a watermelon...I decided I'd dress as one as well:)

Hahaha!

We also went and saw the movie of the week "Pirates" and I spent a great deal of my time feeding my body to help keep my new young one alive. I think I am doing a good job;)

So many Friends!

Ok, I had NO idea J and I had so many friends, who actually read our blog! lol! I don't think I have ever gotten so many comments on a post before. *blush* I really don't know what to say:)

My friend sent me a "joke" this morning. It goes like this:
"Pappa mole, mamma mole and baby mole lived as a happy mole family in a
wee mole hole. One bright fine day, pappa mole stuck his head out of the
wee mole hole and said "yummy! I smell maple syrup!" Next mamma mole
stuck her head out of the wee mole hole and said "yummy! I smell honey!"
Baby mole tried to stick his snout out the wee mole hole for a wiff of
the air but the bigger moles blocked his way. "Geez, all I can smell
is...molasses!"

Today is SUCH a beauitful day! I really don't know what to do with myself:) When it is sunny out I really do feel as though I can take over the world. So...off I go! *que superman type music*

Missi: Camera? What camera?

I always have great intentions to bring my camera to various events. The few times I actually remember to bring the camera, I always have great intentions to actually take pictures. *sigh* alas, picture taking is not a strong area for me. I guess that is why on my other blog (www.xanga.com/BechtleBabe) I like to draw paint pictures instead. Granted, I also like the paint pictures cause the stick figures are so much skinner then the real life me...but we won't go there.

At any rate, yesterday was the Fourth of July and I am a-feared the only picture I got was of J, half druged on allergy meds...laying in the cold grass.

lol! In other news...I'm three months along (as of yesterday), can you tell? HahahahaA!

And happily sick all the time and doing very well:-)

Hope everyone had a lovely Fourth of July!
