Cute pics of Jade
Sunday afternoon JB and I dropped Jade off at a Friend's house and went out to see a movie together. I was a little worried for Jade. Worried enough to wonder if she was having a good time and being a good girl.
When we arrived to pic her up, she was more then okay. So okay, I'm pretty sure she didn't want to leave, in fact...she didn't. Here are just a few pics that were taken of her while she was being babysat.
Jade's love of cars, particularly steering wheels, has started pretty young.
Eat your heart out Mangione boys, Jade can dunk without having to jump!
Jade is a pretty good look out apparently. This one was new to me:)
Ah, nothing like a little swing time to end a perfect day. Thanks Cristy for watching Jade, she had a great time!!

Just a little bit of drama
Jade and I got restless around 1pm this afternoon. Most of our chores were done and the weather forecast says we are gonna get rain all the rest of this week. This being the last "no rain" day until Saturday we decided to take full advantage.
We loaded ourselves onto my bike and away we went. We had a tentative destination of the local Animal Shelter a couple miles away but we weren't sure until we got trekking that we would stop there.
We did. It was so much fun. Jade loved petting all the doggies and letting them lick her face and hands. We spent an considerable amount of time there before heading over to see JB at work. On the way my bike handle bars were seeming a bit shaky , but I wasn't to concerned.
We got cold water at Daddies work, then after a short break we headed home. It didn't take long, however, for me to realize my handle bars were really lose, the more we road the looser they became. With only a few miles left to get home I prayed and hoped the handle bars wouldn't fall off. But we weren't that lucky. *WOOSH* I felt my hands slip down rapidly and I frantically pulled the break and used my legs to help stop the bike and keep Jade from falling out. The handle bars were useless, I couldn't use them to steer or anything. They would just slip from one side to the other. I felt SO stupid. We walked a short ways till we came across a bike store. Thank heavens. Jade and I walked in, I was a bit embarrassed but grateful a bike shop was so close at hand.
One of the guys came out and tightened up the handle bars and put a few things in place that I had installed wrong. He then talked me through a quick lesson on how to install my tires and bike seat, handle bars, etc. He was really nice and said "no charge" when he was done. I felt guilty so I told him I was planning on buying a cool bag to hang on my bike to hold my keys and such, but just hadn't gotten around to it. So he took me inside and we found the perfect one to fit my needs.
Riding home went really fast now that my bars were on correctly and everything had been tightened and fitted properly. Amazing how much a difference it made. I now have a cool bag and a nice bit of drama to share with my hubby tonight. Praise the Lord Jade and I didn't get hurt and that bike shop workers are so helpful and friendly:)

Our tough life *wink*
Today the weather was forecast to be sunny and 70's by 11am in the morning. Jade and I woke and worked early to be prepared for the unveiling of the sun. As soon as we were able I was outside mowing the lawn, setting up my lounge chair, grabbing towels, sunscreen, tanning lotion, our blow up pool, the hose, camera and snacks.
We filled up the new baby pool and then with towels wrapped around us keeping us warm we waited for the sunshine.
Sure enough, it arrived. Slow at first, so we didn't go right into the water. Jade figured she'd let it warm up some more.
But that didn't stop her from playing with her toys and splashing around.
Then Jade helped me with my tanning lotion. She is such a big helper:)
Her reaction after her first fall in the water. Hee, hee.
Then for the rest of the morning and after noon (well, we did take an hour break and play at the park) all Jadey did was splash around in the pool. It didn't take her long to realize that falling down in the water is the best part.
I know, we live a tough life. Work, laying out, swimming, parks. Someone's gotta do it;)

Cleaning
I just finished cleaning the bathtub with a very strong cleaner. The tub looks great, I, however, feel horribly light headed. Next time I'm opening windows! Ah!

Our Cruise
Here are a few pictures from our Cruise trip last week:) Enjoy!
Above is Jonathan and I on the top deck while still in the Long Beach Harbor.
This was our fabulous miniature golf course. Sadly, they put it on the top deck as well and so playing with all the wind was a bit tricky. Still, I'm pretty sure I beat Jonathan by about two whole points.
Here we are in Catalina, it was very chilly but a beautiful day!
A couple came up to us and in broken English said, "we take your picture if you'll take ours, please?" Of course we said "sure!"
Since it was a bit too cold to lay out the first couple of days, I did indulge in some of the silly entertainment provided. Here I am with a group of ladies dancing the Electric slide, er...trying to.
Formal night.
In Ensenada, Mexico we took an excursion to Fox Studies where they built the set and filmed "Titanic." We also got to see many random props from other movies. Including one of my favs..."XMen".
As well as the fountain from "Hello, Dolly!"
Of course, Titanic and...
The main ship used in "Master and Commander." Very cool.
No cruise can be complete without the towel animal buddies. I always loved coming back to our room to greet one:)
The last day of our cruise it got warm enough to lay out. So I took full advantage of that. Even got a little bit of color. Hurray!
This is us after some sun sitting in a lounge waiting for the show to start.
This is at the end of our cruise, we were back in Long Beach killing time before our taxi came. Next to where our ship docked was the "Queen Mary" which has now been turned into a hotel. I just took a picture for the heck of it:).
Glad to be back and hanging with my baby, but we did have a great time!

Grandpa and Grandma are here!
We had a beautiful day today, so this afternoon we all took a nice walk to the park to play.
Jade did most of the playing.
With Dad's help going down the slide.
This is just a cute picture from Saturday. Jade had just gotten ready to go pick up the Grandparents from the airport. Don't you just love the purse. It adds just the right touch:)
