Mt. Rainer

This weekend our friends invited J and I to go with them to Mt. Rainer.

We saw cool things while hiking. I liked all the pretty wildflowers on the hiking trails.

This one reminds me of a very thin blue bonnet.

And this one reminds me of a daffodil(sp?) without it's nose:-)

The other cool sight (aside from the Mountain its self) was a random deer in the woods.

he was kinda hard to catch. But once he stood still...I think he liked posing for this picture.

Then, of course, there are the lovely pics of J and I with the Mt. in the background (we didn't quite make it to the top...this time;)

I guess part of the Mt. got cut off on this pic...oh well:-)

Here we are at a...waterfall:)

And here we are at a lake called...hmmm...I can't remember what it was called. But it was near the bottom of the Moutain anyway:-)

This pic is of a "Box Canyon", the glowing Angel on the side is really just my husband;) ahahahaha!

It was a fun trip, I was so tired after it though...I slept the whole way home:-)

My Hollyhock

I have a very sad and pathetic flower garden. It is a sad, truthful fact. And while I know and readily admit this...there is a part of me that hopes that some day, some how, my sad little garden will turn into something wonderful and beautiful some day. The trouble is, gardening requires time, money and...plants.

My biggest trouble has been when I enter a flower store I am completely overwhelmed by all the choices of flowers. I have no idea what to get! There are to many!! I know you are suppose to plan out the layout and design of your garden before you start randomly purchasing items. However, that takes up so much time and energy, I'd rather just go to the store, become overwhelmed and come home with an odd assortment of plants...that I will most likely kill in three days.
All this being said, one of my random purchases during one of these overwhelming trips, was a very small hollyhock plant. When I bought it, I got it cause it reminded me of my sister (her favorite, I think). I wanted a hollyhock, but I didn't want a whole bunch (cause they are mucho money) and I figured...I'd probably kill it like my other plants. Well, surprise, surprise, this little puppy (randomly placed in my garden) seems to love life despite my lack of attention to it. It is now nearly as tall as Jonathan and today...it flowered!!!! I was so excited, I had to take a picture!

My gardening skills my be slim to none...but I grew a hollyhock plant and it looks lovely!!

Weekend Pictures

This weekend J took me to see IKEA. I have heard so much about IKEA, that I figured it was about time I actually went and saw the store. It's HUGE!
After IKEA we went to Trader Joes, another place I hear so much about, but never have gone to. Cute, yummy things to buy. Smaller then I expected:)

On the way home from IKEA and Trader Joes, I tired to take a picture, from my car, of Mt. Rainer:)

Later in the day we went to a park and had a picnic. After the picnic, J and I took a lovely walk in the woods.

And because I feel like a watermelon...I decided I'd dress as one as well:)

Hahaha!

We also went and saw the movie of the week "Pirates" and I spent a great deal of my time feeding my body to help keep my new young one alive. I think I am doing a good job;)

So many Friends!

Ok, I had NO idea J and I had so many friends, who actually read our blog! lol! I don't think I have ever gotten so many comments on a post before. *blush* I really don't know what to say:)

My friend sent me a "joke" this morning. It goes like this:
"Pappa mole, mamma mole and baby mole lived as a happy mole family in a
wee mole hole. One bright fine day, pappa mole stuck his head out of the
wee mole hole and said "yummy! I smell maple syrup!" Next mamma mole
stuck her head out of the wee mole hole and said "yummy! I smell honey!"
Baby mole tried to stick his snout out the wee mole hole for a wiff of
the air but the bigger moles blocked his way. "Geez, all I can smell
is...molasses!"

Today is SUCH a beauitful day! I really don't know what to do with myself:) When it is sunny out I really do feel as though I can take over the world. So...off I go! *que superman type music*

Missi: Camera? What camera?

I always have great intentions to bring my camera to various events. The few times I actually remember to bring the camera, I always have great intentions to actually take pictures. *sigh* alas, picture taking is not a strong area for me. I guess that is why on my other blog (www.xanga.com/BechtleBabe) I like to draw paint pictures instead. Granted, I also like the paint pictures cause the stick figures are so much skinner then the real life me...but we won't go there.

At any rate, yesterday was the Fourth of July and I am a-feared the only picture I got was of J, half druged on allergy meds...laying in the cold grass.

lol! In other news...I'm three months along (as of yesterday), can you tell? HahahahaA!

And happily sick all the time and doing very well:-)

Hope everyone had a lovely Fourth of July!

Missi: Taking a walk with J

Last night J and I went through all of our pennies and quarters on our desks and came up with over four dollars! we decided the wisest way to spend this money was to take a walk down to our convienance store and buy a candy bar or two!
I bought a

and a

It was so much fun! I ate one of my chocolate bars on our way back to our house! And the other while watching a movie. Ummmm...I think it was SO good for me!

Missi: Eating Asian

So...My wonderful, little brother, bought JB and I cool Asian style plates as a wedding gift. I haven't been creative enough to actually use the dishes though...until last night.
Behold, our super cool Asian plates!!! I even used our cool chopsticks (I love the little chopstick holder) Tee, hee.

Missi: Trapped

The door handles are very old in our house. And just the other day...my bedroom door wouldn't let me out!!! I was in my room, all alone in the house, for more then 10 min trying to get the door open. I was so freaked out and scared I thought of climbing out the window!! AHAH! Luckly, I am super smart and figured out how to take the handle apart so I could escape. *sigh* So much drama in my life:-)

Missi: Two Months and going strong

hahahaha!
Have you ever seen "Singing in the rain"? I love that movie! The above line I sort of took from it. Remember when, at the beginning, they annouce a scary couple? And the annoucer says "they've been married three months already and look at them. Still as happy has newlyweds" lol!
I always thought that a funny comment, as a kid, cause I was like "They ARE newlyweds!?!!, duh". Hee, hee. At any rate. Just thought I'd post today since it's JB's and my 2mon Anniversary.
I didn't have a new picture of us together, so I cut and pasted from two of our pictures...honestly, I think I make a great editor...you can hardly tell I cut and pasted. *wink*

Missi: Wooden Boat Day

It is such a beautiful weekend!! The sun is out and the weather is nice and warm...*sigh* So nice:-)
The Port of Olympia (about a mile from our house) was having a "wooden boat day". Docked at the port where dozens of old and new boats made out of all kinds of woods and done in all kinds of styles.
JB and I spent Saturday morning walking around and looking the boats and various vendors, we had so much fun we decided to go back again today. This time to hear some pirates sing and eat a HUGE corn dog on a stick:-)

Missi

Well, here I am again. I have decided that I am the best poster of boring, nothings ever.
I just spent some time, doing what I never do, and actually reading other peoples blogs and what they post.
There are a lot of good bloggers out there;) lol! I dare say, my friends should all become writers and write dramatized biographies of themselves. If movies, such as Emma and Anne of Green Gables and all those other girly movies/books, can make it...so can a story about any ones life. Just throw in a bit of the "not always talked about on a blog" and you and you'll do just fine. :-) *sigh* there you go, a little bit of smartness from Missi:-)

I am so glad I am in a line of work which requires me to speak with lots of different people all day long. I hear all sorts of wacked ideas, comments, concerns, cool things and outlandish things. It is terribly entertaining, and all so very interesting. I know I am not a person who usually thinks before she speaks so I'm wondering if there really is anyone who does. lol. If people honestly heard what they said and how they said it, they would die laughing at themselves. (as I will probably do after I read this post)
Today seemed to be my day for crazy people on the phone. Its a good thing the sun peaked out of the rain clouds over head, or else I don't think I could have been so nice to everyone as I was *grin*

I can hear JB in the other room taking out millions of bad guys on xbox...I think he needs some company...later!

Missi: Am I the only one who writes?

It's amazing how this blog idea was JB's and I'm the only one who posts. lol!

Well...life is still going wonderfully. Warmer weather is hinting at being right around the corner. We have gotten a lot of sunny days lately.

Here is another wedding pic! I liked it so much I figured I'd post it all over my blogs:-)

Missi: From Washington

Well, it finally happened!! I got MARRIED!! I am sitting here, in Washington, typing from my home office and making jokes with JB, who is in the other room...on a computer...working:-) hee hee!

The wedding was beautiful (if I do say so myself). The Caribbean cruise was FANTASTIC (JB made it a surprise for me!) And now I'm having fun playing house and working hard:-)

Missi: That's Me!

LOL! Because I am vain and selfish I have posted a picture of myself that my friends took...at my party the other night:-)

Life is going good. No longer feeling stressed and overwhelmed. I'm now feeling very excited. Not long til the big day!!!

Hope all my friends who read this, and random people who I don't know, are all having a great day!

Missi:Comments to previous post

the people in the pic, in my last post. Are nobody. They are suppose to represent everything I need to be doing right now to finish up work at HSLDA, move from VA to WA, get everything done with my wedding and move to WA. The pic is suppose to repsent me being pulled in many directions. No peoples are pulling me.

Missi: Being pulled

If there was a way for me to best describe what I am feeling right now, this picture would pretty much do it:)

Life has been going pretty well for me. Work is almost wrapped up and ready for me to be gone. My life has three boxes left to complete the move from VA to WA and my nerves are definatly...well...let's just say they are very delicate:)

In some ways I don't think a wedding would be half as exciting if it weren't for all the stesses and drama we must go through before hand. I think it helps us to appreicate the big day all the more. Perhaps I am wrong, it was just a thought.

I know JB and I haven't updated in awhile. He and are are still doing well and swamped with work and wedding plans. We still have our little phone dates watching movies and doing sweet wonderful things that only someone as wonderful and amazing as Jonathan could come up with.

Looking forward to March finally arriving and, of course, for my wedding!!

Jonathan: Almost famous

Missi and I just became a little more famous. For people familiar with Home School Legal Defense Association, the January/February issue of the Court Report contained a feature article written by yours truly and Mike Reitz, wherein we told stories about past HSLDA legal assistants. (Our hidden agenda was to do a little promoting for OBCL, as all the assistants we featured are graduates - don't tell anyone).

We included stories about ourselves as well, which seemed a bit awkward, so Mike wrote the part about me, and vice versa. The fun part was that we decided to include pictures of each person, and I used the picture of Missi and I on the ferry in Puget Sound. So about now 80,000 families are looking at our picture, probably saying "what a great couple!" or, "how did that guy manage to snag such a hot girl?"

The article is posted online at HSLDA's website. Unfortunately, the pictures don't show up online...to see those you'll have to join HSLDA. Do it, you'll be helping to pay my future wife's salary.

Missi: Well, Hello Mr. Good-looking

Perhaps this phone shot doesn't do full justice...but I just had to post this hot picture of my man for all the world to see!!
