In a old house in Olympia
Covered in Vines
Lived a very young couple
Both healthy and fine
Healthy and fine
they lived their dear life
Until a horrible morning
after a rough and long night
Missi woke with a start
As she heard a soft sound
It was her dear husband Johnny
who was moving around
The cry that he uttered
was like none err, before
he gripped his soft belly
and curled up on the floor
"It hurts" he said sadly
with puppy dog eyes
Missi grabbed at the phone
While he uttered his cries
To the doctors he went
When the morning dawned bright
He returned with some news
That caused Missi a fright
"An Appendix" said the Doctor
"That's what it must be,
Now go to the hospital
To have your surgery"
To the hospital sadly
They took Johnny man
Then they sat in some chairs
And folded their hands
After hours of waiting
A CAT scan, and more
The doctors were ready
To take Jon out the door
Out the door down the hallway
They rolled his big bed
While Missi, she waited
With her hands on her head
Some hours passed slowly
Before they were done
Then to Johnny, went Missi
Who was not having fun.
With a sigh and a smile
It all turned out fine
Johnny would be better
It just may take some time
So back to their house
Went the very young couple
sleepy and tired
but now out of trouble.

Missi, I stand in awe of your poetry writing abilities.
We are praying that Jonathan will recover quickly!
Great poem, Missi! :) It's good you can see some fun in the situation...
BTW, "It's an appendix" sounds like "It's a boy!" lol
Good job....Kinda hard to work in the part about him driving himself everywhere because you had a toddler on your hands. :) R
lol! Yeah, I skipped that part:)
