Hi guys! It's me, Jade, again. Today was church day. I had lots of fun playing in the nursery, but it got me all worn out. I came home and took a nice long nap. When I woke up Mom was all excited and said, "We are going to a birthday party! Hurray!" she seemed so excited about this party, I figured I should be too. When we got to the party there were a LOT of little kids there. I liked watching them play but didn't like to get to close to them. So here is mom and me in the corner. Well, just me, I guess. Like my hat? I'm not to sure about it.
There were a lot of balloons everywhere. I thought that was very cool, you could grab a balloon and let go and it would float in the air and hit the ceiling. I liked watching that.
Mom put me in a baby bouncy chair, then she told me to smile. Ha! I'm not a baby anymore, get me out of this bouncy chair! I didn't smile, in fact, I closed my eyes! lol
After a while the party was nearly over, there was a cool cake with three candles on it. The birthday boy blew them all out! We all clapped and cheered. I can't wait til it is my birthday...I want some cake!

Jello Jigglers
Today I was going to have a visit from a couple of little girls from church and their mother. I wasn't too sure about the visit, I wasn't sure what to do to entertain two young girls without leaving their mother out, or visa versa. I wondered, "Can we just talk?"
In preparation for the visit I made a pot of coffee, set out tea things (unsure of their drink of choice) and made a batch of Jello. (just because I had some on hand)
A few minutes before my guests arrived, I decided to cut out the Jello in fun cookie cutter shapes, I then displayed them in a fun manner on a platter.
The friends arrived and I offered them, coffee, juice, water, milk and tea. "No, thank you" they all said. "Drat," I thought "they aren't thirsty, now what?"
We engaged in some small talk and I fed Jade some applesauce (that in and of itself is amusing) and then casually went and grabbed my platter of Jello jigglers and some plates.
That was it, it broke the ice;) lol! Even the Mother couldn't help but have one...or two;) There is something so American, so friendly, and so wonderfully childish about Jello Jigglers, don't you think? Well...that is, if you like Jello. I, personally, LOVE it!
Our afternoon was a very pleasant one, and by the time our visit was over all of the Jello was gone and everyone left with red stained lips and tongues. hee, hee, so cute.

Policemen...they just keep getting smarter
I have to admit, I am super paranoid when it comes to police cars/guys/gals. Having never been pulled over in my life...til just last year (twice! Gasp!). I now pretty much think every police car I pass is out to get me. I think of them like the "Mr. Smiths" in The Matrix. A bunch of guys, all dressed alike, with one common purpose...to TAKE ME OUT! And I don't mean on a date;)
So, when I'm driving along, minding my own business, singing at the top of my lungs, in the car, if I see a police car I automatically have to tap my brakes (even if I'm not speeding). I have to check my mirrors and I have to run through my head if I have made any illegal...I don't know, turns, lane changes, did I use my blinker? Are my headlights out? Etc...
That all being said, I do have a high respect for police guys/gals, and I am glad they are around to protect us from our own stupid ways. It wasn't until this morning however, when my husband forwarded me this article, that I realized just how smart the policemen I fear really are. lol!
Police Dummy
hee, hee...oh no, is he real? Or isn't he? lol!

The baby and the poo
Once upon a time there was a very devoted, idealistic, and athletic mom. She decided it was time to train her baby how to use the potty. Each morning she sat her on the potty and made funny noises like "pssss" at her small child. She taught the baby girl sign language for when it was time to potty. Her small child found this quite odd and giggled and laughed at her mommy's attempts at potty training.
One morning, while the very athletic mommy was doing her extremly intense workout, she realized her tiny daughter was not making any sounds.
She turned round and saw her daughter in the corner in her "pooing" stance. "NOOOO" shouted the very athletic mommy. She tried to turn and run after her child, but her very intense workout left her legs feeling like mush and water. *running, screaming* "Potty! You must do that on the potty!" cried mommy. The baby girl looked up at her mother barreling down upon her. She began laughing hysterically. "hahahahaha" laughed her baby. Athletic mommy grabbed her child up and began doing her hand signals for "potty" all the while running her child to the bathroom.

Alas, it was too late. Not one to be discouraged, though no longer feeling like a very athletic mommy, she took her baby's diaper off and dumped the poo in the potty. Baby looked so proud. She smiled up at her mommy as they said "bye, bye" to the baby poo.
Just in case, hopeful mommy, put her baby on the potty. Baby sat there and stared at mommy. Mommy said "go pssss. You can do it" as well as other noises and faces representing things I shan't type on this page, lest those of you reading this get upset tummies. hee, hee.
Baby was done with her potty though. She sat and laughed at mommy. Oh well, tomorrow is another day.

What's new with Jade...and me
First of all, Jade now has five teeth. FIVE! She had her 8 month birthday on Saturday, she is getting to be so big, crawling and standing up on her own (while holding on to something, of course)
We bought her very first potty chair this weekend, I sit her on it and she looks at me and smiles. I smile back and make funny hand motions at her (trying to do sign language for going potty) and funny sounds so she knows what she is suppose to do. haha! She thinks I'm very funny.
Since she was very tiny she has hated her baths, this week something changed and bath times are now fun. My favorite is when she tries to "catch" the water in between her fingers, that keeps her very busy for quite some time.
On Friday we put mousse in Jade's hair and blew it dry. You should have seen it, she had so much body! lol. After she kept tilting her head to the side and looking in the mirror to see how pretty she was. Hee, hee. Having a daughter is lots of fun!
In non-Jade news, I got some adorable little ballet flats at Target for only $3! woohoo!
I also visited the world's largest bead store with a friend today. It was HUGE! I was so overwhelmed and amazed all at the same time. It was called "Shipwrecked beads". I hope to go there again with an actual idea of what I need/want and maybe I'll make myself some cool jewelry.
We also visited the YMCA this weekend to find out about baby swimming lessons. Wouldn't that be so cute to teach Jade how to swim? Little Jade in a little swim suit, kicking her tiny, chubby legs in a pool. SO CUTE! I think this is something she really "needs" to do. hee, hee. My husband is not apposed. Anyone have any opinions on baby swim lessons?
Also, what's better, a mocha or latte? I'm a mocha girl for sure...anyone else?

A poem of thanks
Thank you for the sun and sky
Thank you for the tears I cry
Thank you for the happy days
Filled with joy and sunny rays
Thank you for the good and bad
Thank you for my Mom and Dad
Thank you for the moon above
Thank you for the friends I love
Thank you for my little child
Even when she's not meek or mild
Thank you for my amazing man
Whose always there to hold my hand
Thank you for the food and drink
For everything...and the kitchen sink
Thank you Lord, for all you give
And for this life you let me live
I pray in every thing I do
I'll always stop and say "Thank you"
Thank you for the tears I cry
Thank you for the happy days
Filled with joy and sunny rays
Thank you for the good and bad
Thank you for my Mom and Dad

And for this life you let me live

Today started out really rough and bad, but a friend came over and ministered to me...and now I'm all happy and glad;) Just wanted to Thank the Lord for giving me a good day.

Brownies and friends
During work I had a HUGE craving for some yummy, gooey, chocolate brownies. I decide to make some brownies. The house smelled so good while they were baking, and after they were removed from the oven. Yum!
I invited a new friend over to join me for yummy brownies and coffee. That was so fun! I love having people over and feeding them food. We ate and talked and played with our little babies. Sometimes I feel like I'm 8 years old again and playing house. Cleaning can be fun on a good day, just like pretend cleaning was when I was little. I love to cook, bake and eat, so that is not to much of a chore. Hanging out with friends is the most fun, and having a live doll to play with is by far the best out of everything!
I have more "playing house" to do today. So I best finish up work and get started on my fun filled day;) lol!

Hello Friday
It is Friday my friends. For those of you who have yet to check a calendar and are a bit confused as to what day it is.
My JB and Jadie are no longer very sick. I guess it was just a 24hour bug...maybe a bit longer like a...30 hour bug, but anyway...
Not much happening here for me. I watched a movie, had a piece of pie (apple pie), did some work, curled my hair. I think I need to go out and do something, but with recently sick people I shouldn't make JB and Jade go out and about, huh? Perhaps I will just go out, maybe out for coffee and some ice-cream. Or go out to find a good book and maybe a fun hat. I think I need a fun hat, all I have are baseball caps. How did that happen? Sure, I use to wear baseball caps a lot as a kid, but I'm so old and grown up now...who wears baseball caps?
Does anyone have any fun weekend plans? Hope you all do and hope they are fun, and hope you all have a fabulous weekend!

Birthday's and Grandparents ~ From Jade
This weekend my Mom turned 24, she was all happy because she loves her birthday. My Grandma's birthday was Sunday too (she and mom share a birthday) and my Grandpa's birthday was just a few days ago. To celebrate all these birthday's we went to Seattle to pick -up Grandpa and Grandma from the airport and hang out in the city. Here is a cute pic of me in the car. This is Dad, Grandpa and Grandma and me by a tree at a pier in Seattle. I was taking a nap.
Grandpa took us all to the Cheesecake Factory for dinner and dessert! YUM!! You can see I'm very happy to be here, I love food!

Dad and Mom.
While my Grandparents were visiting we went to Burfoot park/beach...it was a nice hike, Dad carried me the whole time.
We like the beach!
While we did do a lot of shopping and driving and eating and movie watching while my grandparents were here, my favorite time was just chillin' and playing around.
Come back and see us again Grandpa and Grandma!
